Our project explored the special needs of blind and visually impaired children and their teachers in order to create comprehensive, knowledge-transferring and fun-to-use learning materials. The TaTaBooks are 3D-based teaching tools supplemented with interactive elements and audio and digital learning contents. Teachers and pupils from schools in Bratislava, Brno, Budapest, and Vienna as well as professionals in all relevant fields – 3D, IT, didactics, natural sciences & science communication – have been engaged in the process. TaTaBooks will improve day-to-day teaching in our partner schools. Especially since the design concept is reproducible and adaptable, TaTaBooks also have great potential and deserve broader attention. Therefore, we invite interested people outside the project boundaries – be it teachers, politicians or other stakeholders – to explore our innovative, and tailor-made TaTaBooks live at the multiplier event:
