Motivated by the success from earlier projects that enabled blind and visually impaired persons access to museums or to architecture using 3D technology, we now developed something unique for blind and visually impaired children. Our project explored the special needs of these children and their teachers in order to creat comprehensive, knowledge-transferring and fun-to-use learning materials. Our TaTaBooks are 3D-based teaching tools supplemented with interactive elements and audio and digital learning contents. Teachers and pupils from schools in Bratislava, Brno, Budapest, and Vienna as well as professionals in all relevant fields – 3D, IT, didactics, natural sciences & science communication have been engaged in the process.
TaTaBooks will improve day-to-day teaching in our partner schools. Especially since the design concept is reproducible and adaptable, TaTaBooks also have great potential and deserve broader attention. Therefore, we invite interested people outside the project boundaries – be it teachers, politicians or other stakeholders – to explore our innovative, and tailor-made TaTaBooks live at the multiplier event on
4th October 2023 in Vienna (+hybrid)
Curious? Interested? Then please register below to receive the official invitation that will be sent out shortly.
We look forward to meeting you in Vienna!
